After exploring various social media options, we decided to use LinkedIn to create a forum for dialog among our colleagues, users, and friends. Actually, we set up the group as an experiment and started getting requests to join the next day! So we're off, and we'd like to invite you to join us. Ask a question to the group, post a story or an example, share your insights. Here's the link to sign up. We hope to meet you there.

Stuck as an order-taker in training and development? Do clients and stakeholders assume that training-alone will accelerate employee performance? Even when training is a critical part of the solution, are you able to successfully collaborate with clients and stakeholders on the other factors needed to get the most return on investments in people - factors that they manage or control? Do functional silos, jargon, and methodology wars make it hard to build systemic, performance-focused interventions that make the biggest impact on results? Welcome to the "training box" - a familiar cubicle for many of us, created by barriers and communication gaps that make it harder for people in organizations to work together on performance improvement.
This session introduces The Six Boxes Approach, a plain English, easy-to-understand and communicate path to performance improvement that enables anyone in any function or any level to collaborate on practical, measurable performance improvement. With its simple models and flexible logic, you can work with other performance specialists, executives, and managers to craft solutions that accelerate results while building performance-driven organization culture.
This introductory webinar will show how to:
- link behavior to results and improve employee engagement by focusing program objectives on valuable work outputs, not only behavior
- analyze performance into actionable, measurable components using the Performance Chain
- improve alignment and collaboration with executives, managers, and colleagues by communicating in plain English about performance and how to improve it, and
- create plans and designs for improving performance that combining both training and non-training interventions.
